AI name ideas for mindex eu.
Describe what you are building: an AI model suggests names, and Hivex shows only the ones whose .com you can register today.
Looking up…
What happens to your words.
- Your description, up to ten words, goes to GPT-OSS 120B on Groq with a short instruction: suggest 30 short names, mixed styles, letters only. When the model is not available, ideas come from your words with plain patterns, and the page says so.
- The suggestions are treated like any idea: the blocklist removes offensive ones, DNS removes registered .com names, and the registry confirms up to 24 of the rest.
- The model's answer is kept for a day, so the same description, or a shared link, shows the same ideas.
Getting better ideas.
- Say what it does and for whom: “meal plans for runners” works better than “food app”.
- Add the feeling you want: playful, calm, premium, technical.
- Run the names you like through the name strength checker before you choose.
Questions people ask.
How does the AI name generator work?
You describe the idea in a few words. GPT-OSS 120B, an open model running on Groq, suggests 30 names with the thought behind each. Hivex then removes offensive ones, drops those whose .com is registered, and confirms the rest with the registry. When the model is not available, the page builds ideas from your words with plain patterns and says so.
Is my description stored or used to train the AI?
Groq, which runs the model, may not use what it receives for training under its terms, and keeps none of it by default; it may keep logs for up to 30 days only while it looks into errors or abuse. Hivex keeps the model's answer for a day, so the same link shows the same ideas, and stores nothing else.
How is it different from the business name generator?
The business name generator combines your words with plain, visible patterns. The AI reads the whole description, so it can suggest words you did not type; both check every .com the same way.
Why are there fewer than 30 ideas?
Every suggestion whose .com is already registered is left out, and so is anything on Hivex's blocklist. Short real words are rarely free as .com.
Is it free?
Yes, with no signup. A daily limit keeps it free; when it is reached, the pattern generators still work.
Hivex index
Short names, still free to register.
Starting something new? Hivex keeps a live index of short, brandable .si names nobody has claimed yet, each checked with the registry.
From code, or an AI assistant.
Hivex's free JSON API and MCP server check domains, DNS and registration records from your own code or from AI assistants that speak MCP. No key needed.
