The .si rush, in numbers.

Since September 2026, people read .si as super intelligence, and they have been registering it by the thousand a day. Hivex watches every free name in its index about once an hour, so it sees which ones go, and how fast.

Who is buying.

A new name points at nameservers, usually the registrar’s own until the owner sets up a site. By that measure most of the 5,579 names went to domain investors at a few registrars: 40% sit on Dynadot’s parking, and 239 are already parked for sale at Afternic or Sedo.

What gets taken.

57% were three or four letters, bought in bulk. The rest were words and word pairs a product could use, such as finmind.si, paymind.si, trybot.si, usebot.si, finiq.si and payiq.si.

  2. 29 Sep 2026About 219,800 .si names exist, past 200,000 for the first time.[1]
  3. 30 Sep 202611,000 new .si names in one day, the day after an executive order uses the term.[2]
  4. 2 Oct 2026Almost 13,000 more in 24 hours. The registry counts a 2,199% rise in September; more than half of the buyers are in the U.S. and India.[2]

How this was measured

Hivex lists a .si name only after the official .si records show that nobody holds it. It then checks every listed name about once an hour. A name counts as claimed when the .si zone starts pointing it at nameservers.

What it does not show

Only names Hivex had found free, not every .si registration. Times are when Hivex saw a name taken, so they can trail the registration by an hour or more. Nameservers show where a name points, not who owns it.
