How Hivex works, plainly.

Names in the .si index are generated and scored offline, then checked in stages: a DNS lookup against the .si name servers, then the registry itself through its public RDAP and WHOIS services, then registrar availability APIs. A name is listed only after the registry reports no record for it.

Listed names are re-checked through DNS every hour; names that get registered drop out and appear in “recently registered by someone else”. The badges for .com, .ai and the other extensions come from a fast DNS look and are not registry answers.

Brand strength is an automated estimate to help sorting. It is not an appraisal or investment advice. Premium names can be on any extension; each is registered and offered for sale.

The index is provided as is. Availability can change at any moment; the registrar’s checkout is the final word. Registering a name is a contract between you and your registrar, and you are responsible for checking trademarks before you use a name.

Premium names are sold through Escrow.com. A sale is final once Escrow.com releases funds after the transfer. Listed prices are in US dollars and may change until a transaction is opened. Offers are not binding until both sides accept the Escrow.com transaction.

Sponsored placements are clearly labelled. Advertisers are responsible for their own content; we may decline or remove ads at our discretion.

We store what you send us through a form (email, name, offer, message) to reply to you, in our database and a private spreadsheet. We never sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

For rate limits we keep a salted hash of your IP address for a short time — never the address itself. The live checker runs in your browser and asks Cloudflare DNS and the .si registry directly; the result (not your identity) is saved so we can verify it.

Your watchlist, saved searches and theme live only in your own browser. There are no advertising trackers on this site.
