Is hivex.si down?
Check a website from outside your own network, and see exactly where it fails: DNS, the server, or the page.
Looking up…
Where a site can fail.
- DNS: no address means nobody can reach it. An expired name, silent name servers or broken DNSSEC cause it.
- The connection: the server does not answer, refuses, or its TLS certificate fails.
- The answer: a 5xx code means the server runs but fails; Cloudflare's 52x codes mean Cloudflare could not reach the site's own server.
Where Hivex checks from.
From Cloudflare's network, in a data centre near you but outside your own connection. If the site works from there and not for you, the cause is usually on your side: your network, your provider's DNS, a VPN or a cached answer. One location cannot rule out a regional outage elsewhere.
Questions people ask.
How do I know if a website is down for everyone or just me?
Check it from somewhere else. Hivex asks from Cloudflare's network, outside your own connection: if it works from there, the problem is most likely your network, device or DNS.
What do errors 521, 522 and 525 mean?
They come from Cloudflare when it cannot reach the site's own server: 521 the server refused the connection, 522 the connection timed out, 525 the TLS handshake failed. The site's owner has to fix the server.
The site is up for the checker but not for me. What can I do?
Reload without the cache, try mobile data instead of your Wi-Fi, switch off a VPN or ad blocker, and wait for an old DNS answer on your device to expire.
Why does DNS make a site down for everyone?
Without an address no browser can reach the server. A name that expired, name servers that do not answer, or broken DNSSEC all do that.
Does Hivex keep checking the site?
No. Each check runs once, when you ask for it. Reload the result to check again.
