SPF record generator.

Pick who sends mail for your domain and get one correct SPF record to paste into your DNS, with the lookups counted.

Who sends mail as your domain?

Tick every service that puts your domain in the From line. Missing one makes its mail fail.

Where the record goes.

Add the record as one TXT record on the domain itself (the host is often written @). If an SPF record already exists, replace it: a domain must have only one. Then check it with the SPF checker.

Choosing services.

List every service that sends mail with your domain in the From line: your mailbox provider, newsletters, support desks, invoices from your shop. Each include counts toward the 10-lookup limit, and some count several times because they include others. The generator counts them live.

Which ending to choose.

~all is the usual choice: receivers accept unlisted mail but treat it as suspect, and DMARC makes the final call. Use -all once you are sure every sender is listed, or for a domain that sends no mail at all.

Questions people ask.

How do I create an SPF record?

Tick the services that send your mail, add your own servers, choose the ending, then add the record as a TXT record on your domain.

Where do I add the SPF record?

In your DNS host, as a TXT record on the domain itself (often written @). Replace any SPF record that is already there.

What does include mean in SPF?

It adds another domain's SPF record, usually a provider's list of servers. Every include counts toward the 10-lookup limit.

How do I check my SPF record after adding it?

Use the SPF checker: it follows every include and counts the lookups the way receiving servers do.
